MAXA Origins

In October 2005, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced a national award for manufacturing excellence as part of Singapore’s efforts to develop the manufacturing sector.
MAXA was incepted in 2006 with its first awards for the manufacturing industry. Since then, MAXA has awarded 11 winners for different award categories. In addition, 31 participating companies have also benefitted from the consultancy-style deep dives during the MAXA journey.
It has since evolved from an award of excellence in Singapore’s manufacturing sector into a process of recognising excellence and sharing industry best practices with the local manufacturing community.
